About bobby and the angels...
Originally
formed in 2004, “BOBBY
and the ANGELS” was
fore-fathered by lead guitarist, Bobby Angel, and drummer, Darren Lantello, both
formally of the popular English rock n’ roll band, THE
BRITISH BEAT… Soon bassist,
Angelo Barbera, of the Doors, Motels and i94, keyboardist, Robert Alden Black
from Stack of 45’s, and guitarist Keith Simmons from Indy Rock jumped on board
and there was something special afoot…With the new band’s instrumental
“ducks-in-a-row” a well known TV /film actor and hot pop singer, Jack Brand,
came forth and became the vocal icing on the cake adding an exciting twist to
the band’s 50’s 60’s Rock, Surf and Car Tunes sound.
Within a few
weeks “BOBBY
and the ANGELS” premiered
their act at Hollywood’s iconic Molly Malone’s nightclub to great reviews.
Bobby’s favorite review came from a cute little cocktail waitress who said,
“I’ve been working at Molly’s for years and Bobby and the Angels was the most
fun band I’ve ever seen play here. They never stand still”.
Through the
years there’s been personnel changes, some fine people have joined and left the
combo, but the core remains in tact and the repertoire of classic pop hits and
instrumentals is constantly growing…
Currently the “BOBBY
and the ANGELS” line up
includes two extremely talented Angels: Bassist, Pat Hayes and keyboardist,
Theresa Flaminio. Together they have added a whole new sparkle to the sound.
We hope you’ll

and the ANGELS” they play the
songs that people want to hear and turn gray skies to blue.

ANGELS RETURN TO “GODMOTHER’S” .
BOBBY and the ANGELS completed another fantastic run at San Pedro’s
hot dance club “GODMOTHERS” last Saturday. As usual lead singer Jack Brand had the
audience out of their chairs and boppin’ on the dance floor. GODMOTHERS’ regally
mustachioed bar manager was quoted as saying, “I like many of the bands that play
here, but after tonight BOBBY and the ANGELS is my favorite”.
MALIBU WINERY A BEAUTIFUL SPOT FOR AN EVENING CONCERT
It was a chilly June night that turned “muy caliente” when BOBBY and
the ANGELS performed to a full house at the World Famous Malibu Winery
Concert Stage. It was also the first BATA’s show to feature their new Angel, lovely
and talented keyboardist/guitarist Theresa Flaminio. The show reached its high point
when drummer, Darren Lantello strapped on his big gold military marching drum and
got out onto the dance floor for “Willie and the Hand Jive”. Eventually the whole
band jumped off the stage and wound up dancing with the dancers. An extremely fun
night. BOBBY and the ANGELS return to the Malibu Winery
